One of Feminism's BIGGEST myths: Misandry isn't real

A recent study has found that yes, misandry is real, yet feminists continuously deny it exists. Why ?

Spend any time on a feminist space and you'll find man hating within a minute. Garaunteed! I often play this game, visit Mums Net Feminism or any feminist space, start a timer and see how long it takes until I find a misandrist post.

Let's do it now..... Ok, 25s after being on MumsNet here's the first misandrist post.

Often when you read feminist spaces, or watch their YouTube videos, they will be sexist, bigoted and prejudiced. Anti men. Whenever feminists are confronted about misandry in their communities they will always either play dumb ("What do you mean by misandry?"), deny it exists ("Misandry is a myth by men to derail feminist conversations"), start with Whatboutism ("Misandry is nothing compared to the systematic misogyny women have endured for thousands of years") or simply minimise ("Misandry is just a 14 year old girl saying mean things in the internet").

The truth is that feminism can NEVER be about equal rights for women whilst they allow, encourage and even upvote and celebrate misandrist posting.

The very fact that forums will BAN YOU simply for being male shows that bigoted, sexism in the feminist world is rife. On Reddit there are a large list of subreddits where you are excluded access simply for being male.

How on Earth can feminism achieve gender parity when it, itself, is simply a bigoted, hate ideology ?

Even if we take feminist arguments at face value they are easily unpicked, one by one.

What do you mean by misandry ?

SIMPLE. It's the reverse of misogny. The dictionary definition of misandry is "dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men (i.e. the male sex)". Is the top picture misandrist ? To me it clearly shows contempt for the male sex so yes. It's is the very definitionof misandry. It is almost unbelievable to me that feminism, so easily grasping the concept of misogyny is completely unable (or more likely unwilling) to understand misandry.

Misandry is a myth by men to derail feminist conversations

If misandry is a myth then how come there is a whole subreddit DEDICATED to collecting, cataloguing, and sharing the daily issues of misandry that men face ? Feminist conversations are derailing themselves by allowing, even encouraging, sexist bigotry. By denying misandry women are allowing sexism to thrive. It's always been strange to me a gender so held back by sexism is so keen to perpetuate it.

Misandry is nothing compared to the systematic misogyny women have endured for thousands of years

This is never, ever backed up by any sort of data. I think, women have had a rougher deal in society, in some ways over the centuries. I don't know, because let's face it, it wasn't all negative. Being told to stay at home, keep home, and look after the children can be infinitely more preferable than being put in dangerous jobs with huge loss of life i.e. mining, military, cotton working etc.

However this is simply an excuse to allow sexism in feminist communities. It does not address the core issue that feminists are often sexist themselves.

Misandry is just a 14 year old girl saying mean things on the internet

We have countless examples of misandrist serial killers. The UK has Joanna Dennehy whilst the US had Aileen Wuornos.

I myself was turned down for a job, at my local shop, because the woman running it said they were "Looking for a young girl". This was illegal, it's one example.

The thing is when you look at the weight of misandry in female spaces, even if 90% of it is just women letting of steam and venting, that's 10% who are not. That is 10% who are publically verbalising their hatred of a gender. It seems impossible to me that some of this does not spill over into real life and in the interactions the misandrist, bigots have.

Conclusion

Misandry is real, it exists, it's pervasive in feminist spaces. Feminists play it down, try to dismiss it, so that they can continue it's practice. When a feminist tells you misandry isn't real, she is telling you she hates men. You should listen to her, clearly.

Even in the face of clear scientific evidence as to the existence of misandry feminists always bury their heads in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist.
