Flawed study finds women judged against more criteria, when hiring, than men

Image
A new study has been published which suggests men are evaluated on their competence to do a job but women are evaluated way more stringently and are also evaluated against their morality and sociability too. The feminists of reddit seize on this, add their own lived experiences, and before you know it we have yet more proof that the patriachy bogeyman is holding women back. " Not to make this political, but look at how Kamala was judged. She was a DEI despite having a fairly illustrious career in politics and being an Attorney’s General among other positions while Trump was a felon with a terrible first presidential term and no political experience outside of that first term. Our country is literally in shambles because of misogyny . " I do wonder how many of those feminists even click on the link to read the actual study, which can be found here . If you, take the time to read it, you can find it's fairly flawed and nothing like as clear cut as the title would suggest....

Why are feminists so angry ?

Image
Feminist spaces are full of angry women. Angry at everything and anybody remotely male. The gripes are often the patriachy bogeyman and misogyny. The visitors to these forums are so triggered, so unhappy, that they seem to find fault in anything they can. From a car rental issue being resolved, at the end, the same time a feminist cc'd their male partner into the email or a woman who got turned down for a job and the ONLY reason it could be is misogyny. Online forums create angry women who see the ghost of the patriachy bogeyman absolutely everywhere. The last concept from any angry feminist's mind is that correlation does not necessarily mean causation : There are more TV aerials in the USA than in Africa HIV is more pevalent in Africa than the USA Therefore TV Aerials prevent HIV My guess is that sociology, and in particular Women's Studies university courses, do not teach statistical analysis, or much mathematics on their courses. The  Oxford University Women's S...

Is marriage that bad for women?

Image
One of the things that keeps coming back, from feminist spaces, is how awful marriage is for women. It's hard to know what drives this narrative but it's something that keeps coming back repetetively for example in South Korea's 4b movement . The 4b movement, if you have been on another planet and not heard of it, is about decentering men and involves the following tenants: No sex with men No giving birth No dating men No marriage to men  Let's start by taking a look at the often quoted statistic that female suicide rates dropoed 20% when no fault divorce was legalised in 1970. Many radical feminist will throw this out when discussing how bad marriage is for women.  Looking at Statistic there was indeed a 20% drop, in the 1970s of female suicide rates  and yes California was the first to legalise no fault divorce in 1969. We do know though, that the devil is in the detail, and feminists have a rich history of cherry picking the stats they want to support their cas...

Are men really more likely to leave their wives when they become chronically ill or disabled ?

Image
One of the, many, arguments a misandrist will say, to show men as awful, is that they are statistically more likely to leave their wives if the wife becomes chronically ill, or disabled , and he is expected to be the caretaker.  This is following a study in 2015 which tracked 2,701 marriages and found that the onset of a wfe's illness is more likely associated with an elevated risk of divorce. So yes, men, the swine, are more likely to leave a sick wife than a wife is to leave a sick man. As always though, these things are not quite as cut and dry as the average, angry, feminist would have you believe. They point to it as another form of misogyny and how women are constantly held back by patriachy and, as per usual, awful, horrible, men. The thing is even getting to that point where a marriage has lasted long enough for illness onset in later life is incredibly rare. Sadly 42% of marriages, in the UK, end in divorce .The courts usually award child custody to the mother, fathers l...

Feminist gets upset having to wear high heels for customer facing job

Image
I recently read an experience from a feminist complaining that her boss was asking her to where high heeled shoes for her job. Obviously every other woman on the feminst forum piled on in to tell her that she should wear whatever she damn well pleases and that the boss is obviously a man and has no right. The thing is the lady admits she is working with clients and the boss is telling her that it looks more professional when she wears heels as opposed to flat shoes. Now whether he is right or wrong, is immaterial. It is his business, he thinks that looks better, it's his job to keep everyone employed and he's clearly communicating that these things out. Rather than accept it she's just complaining about it. She argues about it, and the rest of the feminist's arguments about it are typically hysterical I don't want to leave my job because I need it, and heels aren't officially part of the dress code, but it's something that my boss obviously feels very strong...

Feminism claims of male violence are hugely exagerated and a tiny proportion of the risks women face

Image
Whenever you read a feminist site, violence towards girls, or women, form men is one of the major talking points. Whether it's sex crimes or homicide, it features predominately in discourse. Now, obviously crime is horrible, it's awful. Nobody should be attacked and the full weight of the law and law enforcement should be deployed to protect people against crime. However whenever you dig into the statistics, or look a little closer the whole story seems rather more complicated than "horrible man beating women" which has almost become such a meme amongst feminist circles. Here's the actual numbers, the risks that women face in life in 21st Century United Kingdom: Activity Fatalities Dementia 40,256 Diabetes mellitus 30,132 Alzheimer's disease 25,789 ...

What have feminists ever achieved ?

Image
Often, when reading feminist spaces, they are simply depressing. Women are hopelessly held back, unable to progress or achieve anything, by a system of oppression called patriachy. Misogyny, with men hating women, means they are unable to ever achieve anything. For men it's so much easier to achieve they have all of the benefits and none of the disadvantages. The world of feminism has elaborate theories and data to back this up. Women do the majority of housework ( incorrect ), women are paid less ( incorrect ) and a host of other excuses. The thing is, let's be honest. Being successful is super, super difficult. It takes hard work, dedication, skill, talent, ability, charm, ruthlesness, drive. It's exceptionally rare in the majority of people. Unfortunately 90% of the population can't be the top 10% in terms of success. The numbers can NEVER work out. When women fail they have a whole industry there to explain it. It was the patriachy again, or the gender pay gap, or...
